As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting education and healthcare in Sierra Leone, Foison Resources SL Limited has commenced the payment of monthly stipends to eleven (11) teachers and three (3) nurses who are currently not on the government payroll and do not have pin codes in Jong Chiefdom, Bonthe District.
This initiative is a continuation of similar support the company is providing across other chiefdoms where it operates, reaffirming Foison Resources’ dedication to sustainable community development beyond its mining activities.
Presenting the stipends on behalf of the company, the Mines and Safety Superintendent, Ms. Patricia Abie Kamara, stated that the gesture reflects Foison Resources SL Limited’s strong commitment to supporting education and essential social services in its host communities.

Beneficiary head teachers and teachers expressed profound appreciation for the initiative, noting that some of them have served in their respective schools for over five years without pin codes or payroll support. They described the stipend as timely, motivating, and a significant encouragement to continue delivering quality education.
The nurses also conveyed their gratitude, with one beneficiary explaining that she has worked for six years without a pin code, adding that the support will greatly enhance their capacity to continue providing healthcare services to the community.

In her closing remarks, the Public Relations Officer, Ms. Maimunatu Bah, encouraged the teachers and nurses to make effective use of the opportunity by ensuring quality teaching and dedicated healthcare delivery. She assured beneficiaries that the stipend payments will be made on a monthly basis, emphasizing that Foison Resources SL Limited is not only focused on mining but is also committed to improving lives, in line with the company’s slogan.
Foison Resources SL Limited remains steadfast in its commitment to providing strong and continuous support to its host communities.
