Foison Resources SL Limited has donated six motorbikes to six Section Chiefs in Jong Chiefdom, Bonthe District, as part of its commitment to community development and support for traditional leadership.
The presentation ceremony took place on 3rd June 2026 at the Court Barray in Matru Jong, Bonthe District. The donation fulfilled a request made by the late Paramount Chief Sheriff, who had appealed to the company to assist the Section Chiefs with transportation to enable them to effectively carry out their responsibilities across the chiefdom.
Presenting the motorbikes on behalf of the company, Public Relations Officer, Maimunatu Bah, said the donation reflects Foison Resources SL Limited's commitment to honoring its promises and supporting the development needs of its host communities.
She noted that traditional leaders play a critical role in maintaining peace, unity, and development, and emphasized the company's continued dedication to building strong partnerships with local stakeholders and contributing to the well-being of communities within its operational areas.
Ms. Bah expressed confidence that the motorbikes would enhance the mobility of the Section Chiefs and improve their ability to serve their communities effectively.
Receiving the motorbikes on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Chiefdom Speaker and Acting Paramount Chief of Jong Chiefdom, Francis Kpanabom, expressed gratitude to Foison Resources SL Limited for the gesture.
He commended the company for fulfilling the request of the late Paramount Chief and for its continued support to the people of Jong Chiefdom. He stated that the donation would strengthen the work of the Section Chiefs while serving as a lasting tribute to the late Paramount Chief's vision of empowering traditional leadership.
Chief Kpanabom further assured the company of the chiefdom's continued cooperation and commitment to maintaining a peaceful and conducive environment for development and investment.
The donation forms part of Foison Resources SL Limited's Corporate Social Responsibility programme, which focuses on empowering communities, strengthening local institutions, and promoting sustainable socio-economic development.
