Company Background

Foison Resources (SL) Limited is a private company registered and incorporated in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on the 22nd of March 2022 under the Companies Act No. 5 of 2009. Our head office is located at 9 Sierratel Drive, Off Hill Station, Freetown, Sierra Leone.

On 13th September 2022, the company acquired a small-scale mining license covering an area of approximately 96.45 hectares within Sogbini Chiefdom, Bonthe District. Subsequently, on 12th April 2024, Foison obtained a large-scale mining license covering 121.735 square kilometers in Kongbora Chiefdom, Moyamba District, in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone.

Foison Resources has been operating in Sierra Leone for over two years and is currently mining a virgin deposit in Sogbini Chiefdom, Bonthe District. The company has also recently secured two additional large-scale licenses in both Moyamba and Bonthe Districts.

Our professional mining team brings over 10 years of experience in Sierra Leone’s mining sector, with expertise in implementing simple yet effective management systems. We are equipped to manage and operate diverse mining methods, including dry mining, dredge mining, and other advanced technologies tailored to different mineral sand deposits and soil properties. With deep knowledge of Sierra Leone’s landforms and terrain, our team ensures cost-efficient and sustainable extraction methods.

Our Mission

Foison Resources (SL) Limited was established to explore, mine, process, and export various minerals, with a primary focus on Heavy Mineral Sands (HMS). We are committed to employing highly skilled professionals in mining engineering, mineral trading and processing, geology, metallurgy, and finance—particularly those with prior experience in Sierra Leone’s mining projects. At the same time, we remain dedicated to creating meaningful job opportunities for Sierra Leoneans, thereby contributing to the nation’s socio-economic growth.
